Terms
Version 2026-11-08. Plain English, because you should be able to read what you’re agreeing to.
The short version
- We help you prepare answers for an Attendance Allowance claim. You check every word and send the claim yourself.
- The check and your first section are free. After that it’s £49 for one claim, or £89 for both parents, paid once.
- DWP (or the Department for Communities in Northern Ireland) decides every claim. We can’t promise an award, so we don’t refund because a claim is refused. If it is refused, we help you ask them to look again, free.
- You can cancel within 14 days. If you’ve asked us to start, you pay only for the work already done, until your answers are delivered.
- You don’t have to pay anyone to claim. You can claim free at GOV.UK or nidirect, and Citizens Advice, Age UK, Independent Age and Advice NI help for free.
Who we are
RightByYours is run by Graeme Chard trading as RightByYours, a sole trader based in Ireland.

Email: [email to be confirmed]
We are not connected with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), the Department for Communities (DfC) or any government body.
What we do, and what we don’t
We ask you questions about how the person you’re helping manages day to day, and turn your answers into clear draft answers for each part of the Attendance Allowance claim form. We also tell you how to send the claim and what to have ready.
During our early trial, a person reads your answers and prepares or checks every draft. We aim to send your full answers within 3 working days of payment.
We don’t:
- send the claim for you, or speak to DWP or DfC for you;
- decide whether someone is entitled: DWP or DfC does;
- give legal or financial advice;
- help with claims in Scotland (Pension Age Disability Payment), or with industrial injuries or War Pension claims.
What we need from you
- Tell us the truth, as fully as you can. Our drafts only use what you tell us. We don’t add needs or exaggerate.
- Read every draft before it goes on the form. The person who signs the claim confirms it is true and complete. Giving false information to get benefit is a criminal offence.
- Only use RightByYours for someone who knows and agrees, or for whom you have legal authority (a power of attorney for property and finance, a deputyship or controllership, or a DWP or DfC appointment).
Price and payment
£49 for one person’s claim, or £89 for two claims for a couple. That is the total: there are no other charges, no subscription and no success fee. We don’t take anything from the award.
You pay by card when you unlock your answers. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
When we start, and delivery
Our contract starts when your payment goes through. Because you’d usually want your answers quickly, at checkout we ask if you want us to start straight away, within the 14-day cancellation period. We only start early if you ask us to.
After you pay, you send us your answers from RightByYours. When your full answers are ready, they appear in RightByYours and we email you to say so. They count as delivered when we send that email.
Your right to cancel
You can cancel within 14 days of the day you pay, without giving a reason.
- If you cancel before we start, we refund you in full.
- If you asked us to start straight away and then cancel before your answers are delivered, we refund you minus a fair amount for the work already done, in proportion to the whole service.
- Once your answers are delivered, the right to cancel ends, as long as you asked us to start straight away and agreed that you would lose the right at that point.
To cancel, email [email to be confirmed] saying you want to cancel, or use the form below. Your message just needs to reach us within the 14 days. We refund within 14 days of hearing from you, to the card you paid with, with no fee.
Refunds and putting things right
We can’t promise DWP or DfC will award Attendance Allowance, and decisions can take months. So we don’t refund because a claim is refused. Instead, if it’s refused, we help you ask them to look again (a mandatory reconsideration), free.
This doesn’t affect your legal rights. We must provide our service with reasonable care and skill. If we get something wrong, for example a draft says something you didn’t tell us, tell us and we’ll put it right. If we can’t, you can ask for some or all of your money back.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We aren’t responsible for a decision made by DWP or DfC, or for problems caused by information that wasn’t true or complete when you gave it. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn’t allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy, email [email to be confirmed]. We’ll reply within 5 working days and aim to sort it out within 14 days. If we can’t agree, Citizens Advice’s consumer helpline (0808 223 1133) can tell you about your options.
Your information
How we handle your information, and the information you give us about the person you’re helping, is in our privacy notice.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there, and nothing here takes away the protection of the consumer law where you live.
We may update these terms. The version you agreed to when you paid applies to your order.
Model cancellation form
Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel the contract. An email saying the same thing works just as well.
